Shaq Teams Up With Papa Johns To Launch The Shaq-a-Roni
The Shaq-a-Roni launches today at Papa John’s Pizza with the pizza giant’s largest slices to date, according to USA TODAY.
NBA great, Shaquille O’Neal, serves on the board for Papa Johns and is also a franchise owner. It was originally created for Shaq’s Fun House, his annual event, back in 2019. The Shaq-a-Roni was inspired by O’Neal himself after he came up with the idea for the 16 inch extra large pizza that’s loaded with cheese and 66 pepperoni. It’s cut into eight slices instead of the standard XL pizza making the slices much bigger.
A large Pie, for a large man. Standing at a whopping 7 foot 1 inches, Shaquille admitted that he could eat the entire pizza alone in one sitting.
With each purchase of the specialty pizza, Papa Johns will donate $1 to the Papa John Foundation for Building Community to “support communities as they work together for equality, fairness, respect and opportunity for all.”
