Boxer Travell Mazion Dies at 24
Travell Mazion has died at the age of 24.
TMZ Sports, the first to release the news, stated the young boxer was killed in a car crash in Austin Texas on Wednesday. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that Mazion was traveling in his Cadillac STS and at approximately 9:40 p.m., his vehicle crossed the center of the median into oncoming traffic. It’s unclear what caused the car to cross over into the media.
Officials added that the boxer was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a Honda Pilot. The 61 year old driver, whose name hasn’t been released, later died at a nearby hospital.
Golden Boy, the National Boxing Promotion Company Confirmed the news on Thursday.
The CEO of Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya, took to social media to send his condolences.

Mazion was born and raised in Austin and begin his boxing career in 2013. According to Golden Boy Promotions, he was highly regarded with a perfect record of 17-0 with 13 of the victories being knockouts.
